  2. Hello Rosemary, I really like that quote!!! There are so many aspects of reading. When children are allowed to hold and manipulate the book, turn the pages, picture read, recognize alphabets, have someone to read to them, so a interest in reading, they are most likely going to begin to read the book themselves very soon. There is a quote that says “Curiosity killed the cat”. I disagree. Curiosity is the spark that ignite knowledge and without it we will certainly die.
